We are old-fashioned when it comes to representing our clients, but we balance this philosophy by presenting a unique vision and offering first-class service to each of our clients. We achieve this balance by going beyond the ordinary agent's service of clients, offering extra-ordinary representation and great value to both buyers and sellers.
Getting to know our clients is the first step. Once we learn our clients’ interests and wishes we are able to offer a highly customized and personal approach to represent them in the real estate process. This level of care provides for a smoother, safer transaction.
We realize that the purchase or sale of a home is a significant investment - one that deserves proper guidance and representation - so we offer our clients legal counsel throughout the sale process.
Kate and Kevin's familiarity with Philadelphia's Main Line, its markets and neighborhoods, is particularly helpful to buyers who are new to the area. Clients have found them to be professional, courteous, friendly and trustworthy. They are often able to reduce the stress in their clients' real estate decisions.
Kate: It is a challenge to introduce oneself in a simple paragraph; however, I will give it a try! I am originally from northern NJ. I attended Lafayette college where I met Kevin on the crew team and earned a B.A. degree in English Literature. I studied abroad in Austria and developed a lifelong appreciation for classically beautiful architecture. We are long time residents of the Main Line, and I have loved raising our children here as the area is rich in educational opportunities at all levels and filled with wonderful parks, playgrounds, libraries, and children's classes and activities. Traditionally my jobs have centered around sales, from selling fudge in the summer to working in independent school admissions; so, my transition to the real estate world was a natural one! In addition to the sales aspect of our work, I enjoy working with Kevin on his property renovation projects and marvel at the ability to transform an ordinary house into a beautiful home!
What do you love most about the Main Line? I love all the individual personalities of the little towns that developed along the historic train line. I appreciate the beautiful rolling landscape and how easy it is to get into Center City.
Favorite spots to visit along the Main Line: Chanticleer, Stoneleigh, Bridlewild Trails
What do you love most about being in the real estate business? I love the many new wonderful friendships and always enjoy watching our clients' happiness as they move to new exciting opportunities, whether from a purchase or a sale.
Favorite movie: It's A Wonderful Life and Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (of course!)
Favorite Book: Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice
Favorite Vacation Destination: Nantucket or wherever the family is gathered together!
Kevin: I think a real estate broker to best help a client must be comfortable in kinds of many shoes. Construction shoes that have been used around building sites so clients can be comfortable asking construction questions and can rely on the broker's knowledge of buildings. The broker should also own, say, a pair of polished wing-tips so he can explain and act on the intricacies of the real estate transaction from preparing an offer to settlement and finally a pair of comfortable favorites that have a bit of wear.
I've lived on the Main Line for over thirty years so I know the area pretty well. During that time I've helped many clients as their attorney in real estate matters and in litigation. It is beneficial to be able to best prepare the agreement of sale and explain the detailed 13 page agreement. Clients are often reassured knowing that a lawyer is handling the transaction through settlement as client have concerns about title, easements and property restrictions, title insurance exceptions, and many other things. In addition to helping the clients through the process and anticipating and avoiding problems, my job is also to make sure that the process goes as smoothly as possible while protecting the clients' interests. Finally, having developed homes on the Main Line has allowed a knowledgeable response to building questions. Our number one priority is not necessarily to close the deal but always to ensure the best interests of our clients.
